NIRN’s menu of services for research and evaluation includes consultation and education in support of your implementation research and evaluation efforts; design, management, and execution of discrete implementation research tasks; and completion of implementation research and evaluation projects from start to finish.
Our services aim to provide our practice partners and fellow researchers with research and evaluation expertise in implementation science.
We focus on advancing implementation practice and research while generating useful yet rigorous evidence for actionable use.
Different types of services are available based on client and partner needs. As for implementation practice, a detailed and contextualized scope of work is co-created for each service to ensure services meet the needs and intended outcomes of our partners and clients.

Design, management, and/or execution of discrete implementation research and evaluation tasks

- In need of an implementation research and evaluation group to design some aspect of your implementation research and evaluation effort?
- In need of assistance with the management or execution of discrete implementation research and evaluation tasks, such as collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data or disseminating implementation research findings?
Our capabilities range from conducting literature reviews, environmental scans, and document reviews to selecting relevant implementation frameworks, designing implementation studies, identifying the most appropriate methodologies, developing needed measures and tools, collecting qualitative and quantitative data, analyzing information, summarizing and reporting data for scientific and non-scientific audiences through formal reports, peer-reviewed publications, presentations, blogs, white papers, or other formats, to assisting with use of data for improvement. We can also assist with research management tasks, such as grant writing and IRB submissions.
The intended outcomes of this service are to:

- Produce implementation research deliverables that are relevant and useful for your needs and align with your broader evaluation effort

Depending on your goal and questions of interest, we will use the most practical and appropriate design, whether non-experimental or quasi-experimental, hybrid, or experimental designs (e.g., SMART, stepped-wedge).
